Leadership skills are an important part of executive coaching. What exactly are the leadership skills of a good executive coach?

Partner – Interested, engaged, respected and respectful. When a problem appear, the partner say ‘’we work on it together’’.

Promote autonomy – Help peoples to diagnose problem and consider solutions.

Positive – Supportive, help to build confidence, be motivator. Use praise and recognition for progress and accomplishment.

Patient – Understand how hard it is to change thing.

Trustworthy – Be honest and open help to maintain confidence.

Listener – Be active listener. Summarize and clarifies.

Authoritative – Be clear and specific in feed back. Has common sense.

Result oriented – Focus only on important issues. Be proactive and committed to helping peoples perform.
